Job Description SummaryWhat Impact You'll Make:
Responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives.
Provide technical and solution support to the direct sales team across the GE Vernova - Electrification Software - Grid Software Portfolio - Transmission and Distribution Applications, from the GridOS Portfolio. Primarily focussed on Advanced Energy (AEMS) and Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).

Promote the business benefits related to the adoption of the GridOS solutions primarily focussed on Saudi Arabia and also across the Middle East Region as required.
There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.Job Description

What you'll do:

  • A trusted technical advisor on the Commercial Sales Team. Aligns capabilities to specific outcomes, creates reference architectures, and calculates potential solution value.
  • Strong understanding of power system operation — generation, transmission, and distribution fundamentals.
  • Hands-on knowledge in at least SCADA protocols, and functions.  EMS, DMS, and WAMS knowledge would be advantageous , 
  • Knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures 
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

What you'll do:

  • Bachelor's degree in Power Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • This role requires a minimum of 8 years experience of Transmission and Distribution Grid Applications, within a utility or similar business to GE Vernova Electrification Software business.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • 5 years relevant experience within a customer facing role (for example services or commercial sectors)

What you'll bring:

  • Amazon AWS Cloud Practioner or Azure Equivalent
  • Previous experience in a client facing role
  • Ability to converse in Arabic to a business level
  • Interest in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the grid sector
