Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Manage and supervise a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies, procedures, and strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including vehicle maintenance and driver training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in managing the operations of a heavy truck fleet (refrigerated transport and water services).
  • Direct supervision of drivers, maintenance activities, and daily scheduling.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
