The HSE Officer will work closely with various teams to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSE management systems and protocols to comply with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Facilitate training and awareness sessions to enhance safety culture among employees.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
- Ensure all HSE documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
- Promote a proactive safety environment by encouraging reporting and addressing safety concerns.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective implementation of health and safety measures.
- Support in the development and execution of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required to enhance HSE performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in HSE roles
- Comprehensive understanding of HSE regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective HSE training programs.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as necessary.
- Adept at working independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
