Role Overview

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Product Designer to join our growing team at Hala, this role is a prime opportunity for someone eager to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, who loves working independently but also being part of a collaborative team, relishes a challenge, and aims to impact a growing suite of products significantly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborative - Partnering with product managers, senior leadership, engineering, design, and other teams. Together, you will be involved in designing & shipping features across the entire product.
• Working across the entire product life cycle, from idea to ship.
• Articulate - Communicating your vision and designs effectively by presenting your work to key stakeholders.
• Accountable - Taking accountability for high design quality and contributing to the design team's culture and growth through knowledge sharing to ensure we drive quality forward
• Inquisitive—Build domain knowledge by speaking to internal experts, monitoring feedback channels, talking with users, and reviewing usage and data. Set up, run, and synthesise learnings from user research studies and benchmarking to help inform what use cases and improvements we should focus on.
• Simplifying—Turning complexity into simplicity in a beautiful solution that truly solves customer needs requires deeply understanding our users' problems and the capabilities of current technology.
• Meticulous—Design and prototype interfaces to make our product simple and elegant while handling every small detail. This role could involve quickly building lightweight prototypes to explore interaction patterns or an idea, or building complex prototypes.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in a product design role.
• Exceptional visual and user interface design skills, grounded in user-centred design principles.
• Strong Design Thinking and UX experience. 
• Experience working across iOS, Android and Web is a must.
• A portfolio that covers UX case studies, not just end screens. 
• Strong sense of consistency, typography, and an eye for detail. And you've worked with design systems to produce beautiful and functional design that scales
• Ability to grasp complex issues and distil them into clear, focused solutions for our partners and customers.
• Effectively communicate product direction even under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, coolness under pressure, creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and a passion for design.
• You can take work from inception to completion. 
• Self-starter with a proactive approach.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Comfortable presenting work, articulating design decisions, and rationale
• Speaking Arabic is a significant plus, but it is not vital.
