Position: Charge Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the nursing staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and providing ongoing training and guidance.

• Monitor and assess patient care and clinical outcomes, ensuring compliance with standards of care, protocols, and policies.

• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Manage patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes, ensuring timely and efficient transitions of care.

• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor and manage the nursing unit's inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate levels and efficient use.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.

• Respond to patient and family concerns, complaints, and inquiries, and escalate as needed to resolve issues.

Requirements:

• Active registered nursing (RN) license and certification as required by state regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience.

• Proven leadership and management experience, including supervision of nursing staff and coordination of patient care.

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices, protocols, and standards of care.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a customer service orientation.

• Proficiency in medical record keeping, computer applications, and other relevant software.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
