The Managed Services Portfolio Director is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of business support and managed IT services project. The role involves managing multiple client portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, and driving excellence in service delivery. The director ensures compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs), fosters client relationships, and leads initiatives to optimize operations and resources

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Oversight

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of managed services projects.
  • Monitor portfolio health through regular updates and performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate new project opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Oversee the risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to managed IT service delivery
  • Ensure adherence to organizational audit and compliance standards across all projects within the portfolio.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary escalation point for service delivery concerns and address them promptly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring alignment with their service needs and expectations
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for maintenance contracts and quality assurance
  • Conduct regular client reviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities for service improvement

Resource Management and Allocation

  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet managed services demands.
  • Review and approve project resource hiring requests, ensuring optimal skill alignment.
  • Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations to meet operational needs and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Ensure the portfolio has the required expertise and resources for successful service delivery.

Project Performance Management

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor SLA compliance, identifying and resolving service delivery issues proactively
  • Establish standards and frameworks for consistent project execution and reporting across the portfolio

Budget Management

  • Lead, manage, and execute the specific projects/ tasks assigned by the management from time to time as per business needs, within the allocated time frame

Special Projects

  • Lead, manage, and execute the specific projects/ tasks assigned by the management from time to time as per business needs, within the allocated time frame

  • Coaching and Mentoring

  • Coach, mentor and guide the team and help them realise their potential
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide developmental inputs as required

MIS & Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet 2P and department requirements, policies, and standards
