Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Commercial team. In this role, you will target a large curated list of merchants, initiate outbound outreach, open conversations, and book qualified meetings. This position is fully outbound-focused and is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, engaging decision-makers, and building pipeline from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Lead Generation
- Execute high-volume outbound outreach via email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and cold calls.
- Leverage our industry-segmented merchant list to identify high-potential targets.
- Personalize outreach using available merchant data (web traffic, category, etc.).
- Maintain accurate CRM records and log all activities in HubSpot.
Pipeline Building
- Book qualified meetings for the Head of Commercial or Account Executive.
- Implement structured multi-step sequences to optimize conversion rates.
- Identify key decision-makers (owners, operations managers, e-commerce managers).
- Re-engage inactive leads and previous prospects.
Research & Targeting
- Analyze merchant operations to identify delivery-related pain points.
- Segment merchants based on expected volume, geographic coverage, and service alignment.
- Continuously enhance the accuracy and completeness of the merchant database.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Commercial team to refine targeting criteria and messaging.
- Provide feedback on common objections, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Ensure seamless handover of qualified opportunities to the closing team.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, BDR/SDR roles (preferred experience in B2B, SaaS, logistics, or e-commerce).
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Confident, persistent, and comfortable with high-volume cold calling.
- Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with spreadsheets, lists, and structured workflows.
- Self-driven, competitive, and able to maintain consistent performance under pipeline pressure.
