Carpenter  

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of all carpentry tasks, including: 

Inspect and repair wooden structures, furniture, fixtures, and flooring to maintain quality standards. 

Ensure proper inventory and storage of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials. 

Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize disruptions. 

Collaborate with other departments to support maintenance and renovation projects. 

Completing carpentry work orders promptly and accurately. 

Performing routine and preventive maintenance as per the scheduled program. 

Consistently delivering high-quality carpentry work. 

Adhering to all safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment while on duty. 

Accurately completing and submitting work slips and request forms at the end of each shift. 

Keeping the workspace clean and always organized. 

Upholding InterContinental's guidelines and service standards, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.  

Inspect wood products for defects and imperfections before polishing 

Continuously improve polishing techniques and processes to increase productivity and quality 

Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries 

Monitor and maintain the inventory of carpentry and polishing materials and supplies 

Requirements: 

Physical fitness and dexterity to handle and maneuver heavy wood pieces and polishes 

Knowledge of different wood types and their characteristics and polishes type and their characteristics 

Ability to operate and maintain wood finishing and polishing machines and tools 

Attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections or defects in wood surfaces 

Experience in sanding, staining, and polishing wood surfaces 

Strong communication skills to work effectively with other team members and supervisors 

Adherence to safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries 

Willingness to work flexible in terms of work (other than carpentry and polishing work) and hours
