Senior QA/QC Engineer – Commercial Complex (KSA)

Location:
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Project-Based

We are looking for a Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead the quality assurance and quality control function on a major commercial complex construction project in KSA. You will ensure that all works and materials comply with project specifications, codes, and client requirements, and that the project is delivered with the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the Project Quality Plan, ITPs and QA/QC procedures across all disciplines (Civil, Architectural and MEP).
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, standards and contracts to ensure clear quality requirements for the site team and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, review and manage method statements, ITPs, checklists and inspection formats.
  • Raise and manage Inspection Requests (IR/WIR/MIR), coordinate with consultants for inspections, and follow up on approvals and comments.
  • Monitor and control material receiving inspections, storage conditions and traceability (MIRs, certificates, tests, approvals).
  • Coordinate and follow up on laboratory and third-party testing (concrete, soil, welds, NDT, MEP testing, etc.) and maintain records.
  • Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs, follow up on corrective/preventive actions and verify closure.
  • Support mock-ups, sample approvals and trial installations to meet quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular site quality inspections and internal audits, highlighting risks and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper calibration and verification of inspection, measuring and test equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC logs, reports, snag lists and punch lists; coordinate with construction and planning to clear them.
  • Support testing & commissioning, pre-handover and final handover documentation (as-built, O&M manuals, test reports, warranties).
  • Provide quality-related training and toolbox talks to engineers, supervisors and workforce where needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 12+ years QA/QC experience on building / commercial / mixed-use construction projects (KSA/GCC experience strongly preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of QA/QC systems and tools (ITPs, method statements, NCRs, CARs, audits, calibration, testing & commissioning).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials (structural, finishing and MEP).
  • Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and local authority/consultant requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with QA/QC logs, trackers and reporting.
  • Strong communication, coordination and report-writing skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure on fast-track projects.
