Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Planning Engineer located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating production plans, managing project schedules, and ensuring efficient workflow. Key tasks include monitoring and controlling project timelines, analyzing operational efficiencies, and collaborating with different departments to achieve project objectives. The role also involves providing insights for process improvements and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed production and project schedules to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions to avoid delays and ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate planning activities across departments including production, procurement, engineering, logistics, and site teams.
- Conduct resource planning and forecasting to ensure availability of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Analyze workflow, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process and productivity improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to prepare accurate planning input and schedules.
- Prepare periodic planning reports including progress summaries, performance dashboards, resource utilization, and KPIs.
- Support decision-making by providing data-driven insights, scenario simulations, and project impact analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, planning procedures, and project control methodologies.
- Participate in project review meetings, highlighting risks, delays, and required mitigation plans.
- Collaborate closely with the MEP, civil, and production teams to ensure realistic scheduling aligned with project scope and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Planning and Production Planning
- Proficient analytical and project control skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in construction projects
- Experience in MEP planning (mechanical, electrical & plumbing) is required
- Proficiency in project management software and tools is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing sector is preferred
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Arabic considered a plus
