As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance Team.

About the Role:

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining all mechanical systems within the power plant to ensure reliability, capability, and compliance. Lead the mechanical team in maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls, while supporting upgrades, modifications, and performance improvements. Ensure effective planning, execution, and coordination of maintenance activities with other disciplines to achieve safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across all Tihama plants.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Ensure compliance with HSE, Process Safety, and Safety Rule procedures, conducting hazard analysis and risk assessments, and preparing method statements for high-risk activities.

·       Support company HSE initiatives and maintain authorization for Mechanical craft.

·       Implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies in line with OEM, CSA/ECA, and best utility practices.

·       Lead inspections, shutdowns, and major overhauls to ensure equipment reliability and statutory compliance.

·       Maintain accurate CMMS (Maximo) records for work orders, history, costs, and labor.

·       Drive continuous improvement in maintenance strategies, incorporating lessons learned to enhance reliability.

·       Set and monitor KPIs, optimize use of manpower, tools, spares, and budget, and support reliability programs.

·       Provide technical expertise on troubleshooting, repairs, and performance improvements of major mechanical equipment.

·       Act as technical officer for assigned maintenance contracts, preparing specifications and coordinating with contractors.

·       Plan, prepare, and execute maintenance work packages, including outages and emergency tasks.

·       Prepare and review maintenance reports, KPIs, and dashboards to support decision-making.

·       Supervise and coach junior engineers and technicians on safe work practices, equipment systems, and plant operations.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

·       Minimum 10 years' experience in mechanical maintenance of major equipment in large combined-cycle power plants or cogeneration facilities.

·       Proven expertise in maintenance and repair of major rotating equipment, motors, and hydraulic/air-operated control and stop valves.

·       Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings (PFD, P&ID, and related).
