Job Summary:

The Technical Director will lead all technical, engineering, and design-related functions within the organization. He will be responsible for overseeing project design integrity, value engineering, constructability reviews, and technical compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a
Civil Engineer
with
at least 25 years of experience
in design, construction, and project execution, preferably within large-scale contracting organizations in
Saudi Arabia
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all technical and design aspects of civil, structural, and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
  • Review and approve all design submissions, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, tendering, and execution departments.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project cost and performance.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve design and technical issues.
  • Ensure all project designs meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Supervise preparation of technical proposals, drawings, and design deliverables for tenders and ongoing projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.
  • Establish and maintain technical procedures, design standards, and engineering best practices across all projects.
  • Support the management team in technical risk assessments and design reviews.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Civil Engineering
    from a
    reputed and accredited university
    (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum
    25 years of experience
    in design, technical management, and construction within the
    civil contracting sector
    .
  • Proven experience in handling
    mega projects
    such as high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and hospitality developments.
  • In-depth knowledge of international design codes and Saudi building regulations.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Previous experience with
    top-tier contracting companies in KSA
    is a must.
