Job Purpose
Responsible for the effective delivery of athlete healthcare by managing all administrative and operational requirements of the Medical Services function within the Athlete Performance Services Department. The role ensures that systems, processes, and clinical operations run efficiently across all Performance Health sites, while aligning with national healthcare standards, clinical governance expectations, and SOPC/SOTC's commitment to athlete welfare. The role provides day-to-day coordination, resource planning, data management, and quality assurance to enable medical, physiotherapy, and performance therapy teams to deliver world-class care.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Athlete Medical Administration & Planning
- Lead administrative oversight and delivery of clinical scheduling, athlete medical records, health documentation, and follow-up (internal and external) coordination.
- Ensure clinical data accuracy, confidentiality, and standardized documentation across all SOTC health systems.
- Manage coordination between medical teams, coaches, athletes, and administrative departments to ensure timely service delivery and case progression.
- Coordinate the capture, consolidation, and reporting of clinical and operational data, including activity trends, financial metrics, and service output.
- Develop and support mechanisms for quality assurance across Performance Health metrics, contributing to continuous improvement of service delivery and athlete experience.
Operations & Service Management
- Supervise the administration of athlete medical records, appointment scheduling, documentation, and follow-up workflows.
- Manage administrative processes related to sports medicine consultations, periodic health evaluations, medical clearances, and clinical follow-ups.
- Coordinate the operational readiness of medical services for SOPC/SOTC events, including ensuring the availability of medical supplies, equipment, and medications.
- Provide administrative support for domestic and international competition medical operations as required.
Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Support the Medical Services Senior Director and Performance Therapies Director in developing the annual Performance Health operational plan, including capacity planning, workforce requirements, facility readiness, and system enhancements.
- Support the Medical Services Senior Director and Performance Therapies Director in drafting and updating policies aligned with Saudi national healthcare regulations and international best practices in sports medicine.
- Facilitate integration and communication across multidisciplinary clinical teams to maintain alignment and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers, sports federations, and event medical committees on administrative requirements and service planning.
- Track KPIs related to medical administration, compliance, operational efficiency, and service quality.
