Electrical Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of
site execution, quality control, and coordination
of all electrical works for high-rise building projects. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Site Supervision & Execution:
  Directly supervise all on-site electrical installation activities, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to project drawings, specifications, and building codes .
• High-Rise Expertise:
  Specific responsibility for managing electrical systems unique to high-rise structures, including main power distribution (HV/MV/LV), generator systems, vertical cable risers, fire alarm systems, lighting, and specialized building management systems (BMS).
• Quality Assurance & Control:
  Inspect and verify the quality of all installed electrical materials and workmanship. Prepare and obtain approvals for Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and other quality documentation.
• Drawing & Design Review:
  Review and interpret complex electrical shop drawings and technical specifications. Coordinate with the design team and other disciplines (Civil, Mechanical) to resolve technical and site-related clashes or issues.
• Progress Monitoring:
  Track daily and weekly electrical work progress against the project schedule. Proactively identify potential delays and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the Planning Engineer.
• Material Management:
  Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of approved electrical materials to the site and manage on-site material storage and inventory.
• Testing & Commissioning:
  Participate and lead the pre-commissioning, testing, and final commissioning of all electrical systems, ensuring seamless handover to the client.
• Safety Compliance:
  Enforce strict adherence to WAMEST's safety regulations and procedures for all electrical site activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  is essential.
• A minimum of
  5-7 years of proven experience
  as an
  Electrical Site Engineer
  within an MEP contracting company is mandatory.
• Must have significant, demonstrable experience
  working on
  high-rise commercial and/or residential building projects
  .
• In-depth knowledge of
  all major electrical systems
  in a building environment, with a strong understanding of international codes and standards.
• Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and implement electrical single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Strong experience in managing site teams, subcontractors, and laborers effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to liaise with all project stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
