Manager, TAX

Job Purpose Statement:

• Assist in developing business and investment strategies for an optimized tax return
• Ensure that tax preparation meets all regulatory requirements
• Review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with local statutes and regulations
• Suggest new policies and procedures for improving the collection of tax information from relevant department managers
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.

Roles & Responsibility

1. To understand and comprehend Zakat, Tax, WHT, TP and VAT regulation and guidelines.
2. To prepare a summary of any updates on regulation and guidelines
3. To prepare and review all ZATCA filings in lights of the guidelines and regulations on a timely manner.
4. To prepare and review all responses to ZATCA queries for audits, assessments including inspection requirements.
5. To coordinate with zakat/tax advisors to prepare full analysis of ZATCA assessment and completion of appeals documentation in a timely manner.
6. To prepare and review Zakat, and Tax provisions and disclosures in Financial Statement.
7. To ensure proper zakat and tax provisions are maintained all over the year.
8. Establish communication with the company's relationship manager at ZATCA and align with him/ her in respect to all zakat and tax related matters.
9. Maintaining full historical records of filings, proof of payments, reconciliations related to zakat and tax matters, and correspondences with ZATCA, GSTC, and ADRC.
10. Prepare and review monthly value added tax returns considering the regulations, ZATCA interpretations, and best business practices.
11. Ensure timely filing of monthly VAT returns and settlement of liability.
12. Prepare requested breakdowns and reconciliations by ZATCA related to VAT matters and providing them with all required information.
13. Prepare and collate monthly withholding tax information.
14. Review agreements with vendors and partners to advise on applicable withholding tax rates.
15. Ensure timly filing of monthly returns and settlement of liability.
16. Prepare requested breakdowns and reconciliations by ZATCA related to withholding tax matters.
17. Calculate, check, and file excise returns for each period in ZATCA.
18. Calculate the annual guarantee amount and apply in ZATCA for renewal of license.
19. Prepare and submit excise audits requirement raised by ZATCA occasionally.
20. Keep all records and documents related to excise in a way it is easily available when needed.
21. Monitor all excise-related transactions in ERP.
22. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
23. Perform other duties related to the job and/or the operation of the company, in accordance with the regulations of the Saudi Labor of Law. Adherence to Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
24. Dealing with data and information according to their level of classification.
25. Avoid violating the rights of any person or company protected by copyrights, patents, or any other intellectual property, or similar laws or regulations.
26. Compliance with Cybersecurity requirements related to the protection of user devices, Internet, software, systems, and Email requirements.
27. Adhere to the acceptable use policy and Using CATRION information and technical assets only for business purposes.
28. Obtaining the required permit from the security department or the owner of the authority in CATRION before hosting visitors in the company's specific sensitive sites.
29. Reporting Cybersecurity incidents.

Minimum Requirements for The Job:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field.

Years and Nature of Experience

Minimum 7 years
