Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Presales Data Center Mechanical Engineer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Presales Data Center Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with data center operations, troubleshooting, technical support, cabling, and data center infrastructure.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and develop mechanical solutions for data center projects.

  • Design and engineer mechanical systems for data centers, including HVAC systems, cooling systems, plumbing systems, and fire suppression systems.

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data and information necessary for the design process.

  • Create detailed proposals and technical documentation outlining the mechanical solution, including equipment selection, layout, sizing, and cost estimates.

  • Present proposals to customers and address any technical questions or concerns they may have.

  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials for the proposed solutions.

  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the bidding process and assist in closing deals.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data center mechanical systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure integrated and seamless solutions.

  • Ensure that proposed solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in data center or mission-critical facility projects.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling systems, plumbing systems, and fire suppression systems.

  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
