Interior Designer – Hospitality

Role Description

As
Interior Designer – Hospitality & Residential
, you will drive the interior design scope for hotel, serviced apartment, and high-end residential projects.

This is a
project-focused design role
, not just 3D visuals. You will develop concepts, space plans, and detailed drawings, coordinate with our engineering teams, and support site execution to ensure that what is built matches the design intent and can actually be executed within budget and time.

You are expected to handle full room/villa layouts, joinery and feature elements, finishes, and lighting coordination, and to communicate clearly with consultants, operators, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, mood boards, and space plans for hospitality (lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, public areas) and residential (villas, apartments, amenities).
• Prepare detailed drawings: layouts, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, GRG/feature ceilings, and finishes schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, structural, and our internal GRG/joinery/fit-out teams to ensure details are buildable and coordinated.
• Work with suppliers and our team to select materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture aligned with project budget and technical constraints.
• Prepare presentation packages for clients/consultants/operators: concept boards, 3D views, and material boards.
• Support tender and construction stages with clear, complete drawings and responses to technical queries (RFIs).
• Attend site meetings, review mock-ups, check samples, and perform design-related inspections and snagging.
• Assist in value engineering while protecting key design intent and user experience.
• Maintain organized drawing sets, revisions, and documentation in line with project procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
• 7–10 years of experience
  in interior design, with
  at least 4–5 years focused on hospitality and/or high-end residential projects
  .
• Proven experience delivering hotel, serviced apartment, or upscale residential interiors from concept through tender and construction.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with coordination on design–build or fit-out projects is an advantage.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating built or at least tendered work (not only student or freelance small jobs).

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong space planning and understanding of guest/user flows in hospitality and residential environments.
• Ability to produce clear, construction-ready drawings and details, not just visuals.
• Solid understanding of materials, finishes, joinery, GRG/feature ceilings, and coordination with lighting and MEP.
• Practical mindset: able to balance aesthetics with buildability, cost, and maintenance.
• Confident in meetings with consultants, operators, and contractors; able to defend design decisions with logic.
• Good sense of proportion, detailing, and color/material combinations suitable for 4–5 star hospitality and premium residential.
• High ownership mentality – takes responsibility for the quality and completeness of their drawings and deliverables.
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines.

Tools and Software

Required

• AutoCAD (or similar) for 2D drawings and detailed documentation.
• 3D software such as SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit for modelling and views.
• Rendering tools such as Enscape / Lumion / V-Ray (or similar).
• Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) for presentations and boards.
• Comfortable working with shared project folders, Teams/Zoom, and basic digital collaboration tools.

Nice to Have

• Revit experience for integrated BIM coordination.
• Rhino experience is an advantage.
• Experience working within an ISO / structured QA environment for drawings and revisions.
• Familiarity with fit-out contract documentation (specs, schedules, BOQs).
