VR Capture Technician

Position Summary:

VR Capture Technicians are responsible for using professional VR shooting and capture equipment to record high-quality 360° video, panoramic images, or motion capture data for the production of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) projects. This position plays a crucial role in the production of VR film, games, and immersive experience content.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain VR shooting equipment (such as 360° cameras, motion capture systems, depth cameras, etc.).

Assist in setting up the shooting location, including adjusting lighting, sound, and spatial layout.

Perform equipment calibration before shooting to ensure accurate synchronization of image data.

Capture and organize raw image, audio, and motion data, ensuring quality and integrity.

Assist the post-production team in data transfer, backup, and basic processing.

Support content testing and immersive experience verification for VR projects.

Record equipment usage and shooting logs, and maintain shooting files.

Adhere to project confidentiality and security regulations.

Job Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree or above, with preference given to candidates majoring in film and television production, computer graphics, digital media, or related fields.

Understand the principles of 360° image shooting and VR production processes.

Familiar with common shooting equipment (such as GoPro Max, Insta360, Z CAM, RED, etc.) and their software tools.

Possess basic video editing or post-production skills (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, etc.).

Detail-oriented, stable, with strong technical execution capabilities and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in VR/AR shooting, film and television production, or motion capture projects.

Understanding the material import process for VR content engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.

Experience in photographic composition, artistic perception, or sound recording.

Interest and enthusiasm for learning about emerging immersive media and virtual interaction.

Work Location:

Virtual reality content production companies, film studios, game development teams, or metaverse experience centers.
