Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Data Centre Specialist – Power Systems to join our team

In this role, you will oversee the technical delivery of all electrical infrastructure for a fast-track hyperscale data centre project targeting Uptime Institute Tier III/IV certification. The facility includes complex power infrastructure with high redundancy, fault tolerance, and maintainability requirements, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted mission-critical operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide technical oversight of power system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV requirements for redundancy and maintainability.
  • Review and validate electrical designs, load calculations, and fault current analyses.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and commissioning teams.
  • Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and ensure proper failover and recovery scenarios.
  • Monitor installation quality and ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments, technical reviews, and value engineering exercises.
  • Support documentation, training, and handover to operations teams.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • 10–15 years in electrical engineering roles, with significant experience in data centers or mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Expertise in HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
  • Deep understanding of data centre power architecture, Tier certification requirements, and operational resilience.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.

  • Experience with hyperscale data center projects and Tier III/IV certified facilities.
  • Familiarity with regional utility regulations and grid integration.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-package delivery environments.
