About the Role

The Senior Case Counsel plays a key role at SCCA, managing complex arbitration and mediation cases, supervising case counsel, and ensuring full compliance with SCCA rules and procedures. The role contributes to service quality, client engagement, and continuous development of case administration standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex, high-profile, emergency, or confidential arbitration and mediation cases.
  • Oversee case intake, billing, correspondence, case assignment, and procedural administration.
  • Supervise arbitrator and mediator selection processes and coordinate with the SCCA Court.
  • Lead and mentor case counsel, support performance reviews, and participate in recruitment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and resolve case issues.
  • Ensure quality and compliance through spot audits and adherence to SCCA standards.
  • Handle complex client inquiries and provide guidance on rules and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain templates, tools, and training materials for case administration.
  • Represent SCCA in meetings, workshops, and external events.
  • Support ADR-related initiatives and contribute to process and service improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law (required); LLM or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Licenses to practice law (active or dormant).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience (law firm arbitration practice or ADR institution).
  • Minimum 2 years of arbitration experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
