Job Summary

The QC/QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction, manufacturing, and installation activities comply with approved specifications, drawings, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The role involves implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, coordinating with consultants and clients, and maintaining quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with ISO 9001 and project requirements.
  • Review and approve Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct site inspections and factory inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor construction/manufacturing activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper implementation of work procedures, checklists, and quality records.
  • Verify calibration of testing and measuring equipment.
  • Review test results, certificates, and inspection reports.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco, SEC, NEOM, or international standards where applicable.
  • Assist in project handover, including preparation of as-built documents and final quality dossiers.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Minimum 3–7 years of relevant QC/QA experience (project-dependent).
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes and standards (ASTM, BS, ISO, ACI, ASME, AWS).
  • Experience in inspection, testing, and quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office and quality reporting tools.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
  • CSWIP / AWS / ASNT (for welding/NDT roles)
  • Saudi Aramco / NEOM / SABIC approval (project-specific)
