The Role

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of client projects, ensuring high-quality engineering output and driving excellence across all technical teams.

This role acts as the
bridge between client delivery requirements and internal technical execution
, providing leadership, architectural direction, and hands-on guidance to engineers across multiple disciplines.

The Technical Delivery Manager works closely with the CTO and CPO to ensure technical decisions align with Staq's strategy, best practices and standards are upheld, product considerations are integrated, knowledge sharing is maintained and key architectural decisions receive proper oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery team including engineers (frontend and backend), QA, System analysts, DevOps, Data, Security, etc
  • Ensure technical delivery aligns with client requirements and timelines
  • Define technical architecture and implementation approaches
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Coordinate resource allocation across projects
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Report delivery status and technical risks to the Delivery Manager
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and practices.

Qualifications + Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • 3+ years leading engineering teams
  • Strong background in integrations, mobile engineering, data engineering and API-driven architectures
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication abilities & fluent in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in banking, payments or financial services systems.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
  • Experience working in Agile or cross-functional team environments.

  • Able to balance engineering quality with delivery timelines and client realities
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and able to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
