Job Summary:

To perform set-up and calibration of equipment. To perform non-destructive examination and report results with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Use process travel card and operation sheet to perform required NDE method or visual testing on parts to locate and determine the severity of discontinuities.

2) Follow prescribed procedures for non-destructive testing.

3) Perform daily checks of equipment and ensure all gauging and measuring equipment is properly calibrated.

4) Record all calibration information in machine calibration logbook.

5) Perform testing operations following specific procedures outlined in manuals, identifying and marking discontinuities.

6) Interpret results of various tests performed against the acceptance criteria specified in manual or other approved data.

7) Accept or reject parts based on specified criteria.

8) Complete all required paperwork, records and sign offs.

9) Detect faulty operations and materials and report these and other problems to NDE Engineer.

10) Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Relevant technical discipline/training in NDE, with Certified Level I or Level II in ASNT or PCN or recognized certified body for LPI, MPI and UT.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in NDE in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to perform NDE in accordance to written instructions.
  • Ability to organize and report results of non-destructive tests.
  • Knowledge of NDE methods and ability to operate NDE machine with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills.
