Description

WSP is currently seeking a qualified Civil Inspector to join our infrastructure supervision team in Riyadh. The Civil Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Verify that materials used are in accordance with the approved specifications and drawings.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other inspectors to resolve site issues and discrepancies.
  • Monitor work progress and quality and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where necessary.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and generate daily reports.
  • Ensure that safety measures are implemented on-site as per HSE regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings and method statements related to civil works.
  • Support the Senior Engineers and Resident Engineer in ensuring the contractor meets project requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction inspection, preferably in infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, stormwater, etc.).
  • Prior experience working on consultant/PMC teams in the Middle East is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulations.
  • Good communication and documentation skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Saudi nationals are highly preferred in line with Saudization efforts.
