Job Overview
The Assistant Manager for Banqueting & Catering supports the end-to-end coordination and execution of high-end events, ensuring all operational, service, and culinary components align with the company's ultra-luxury standards. This role acts as the operational backbone of the department, assisting the Catering Manager in planning, supervising teams, maintaining quality control, and guaranteeing seamless event delivery. The position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex service operations for VIP clientele in fast-paced, large-scale event environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the Catering Manager in coordinating all aspects of catering and banqueting operations, from planning to execution.
- Oversees event setups, service flow, and guest movement to ensure smooth operations and adherence to luxury service protocols.
- Assists with menu planning coordination, aligning with culinary teams to ensure timely production, premium presentation, and flawless delivery.
- Supervises service teams during events, ensuring grooming, etiquette, and performance consistently meet luxury brand standards.
- Manages staffing schedules, team deployment, and shift rotations based on event requirements.
- Monitors inventory, equipment, and resource readiness to support high-volume event execution.
- Conducts walkthroughs and quality checks to ensure all décor, setups, F&B stations, and service elements meet strict aesthetic and operational expectations.
- Handles client requests and onsite communication, ensuring all requirements are understood and fulfilled.
- Ensures compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality assurance standards across banqueting operations.
- Provides post-event feedback, supports reporting, and contributes to continuous improvement of service processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience as a Banqueting Supervisor, Senior Catering Supervisor, or Assistant Banqueting/Catering Manager within luxury hospitality or large-scale events.
- Strong understanding of banquet operations, catering logistics, menu sequencing, and VIP service standards.
- Leadership capability with experience guiding and motivating teams in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and client-handling abilities, with a professional presence suited for VIP settings.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and quality standards within F&B operations.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering impeccable guest experiences.
- Willingness to relocate or be based in KSA.
