JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

The Instrument Technician is responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing various instruments and control systems within all of Saudi Tabreed's plants under the guidance of the Instrument & Control Supervisor. The Technician ensures the accuracy and reliability of instruments used for measurement and control purposes.

Core Responsibilities

Operational


• Install, calibrate, and maintain instruments and control systems across Saudi Tabreed.


• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and implement corrective actions.


• Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure instrument accuracy.


• Repair or replace faulty instruments or components.


• Interpret instrument diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.


• Collaborate with other technicians and departments for system integration.

Compliance


• Comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Documentation


• Maintain accurate records of instrument calibration and maintenance.

Support


• Provide technical support and guidance to other technicians and team members.

Research


• Stay updated with the latest technology and industry trends in instrumentation.

 Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.

 Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.

Reporting

 Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.

Risk Management

 Support risk identification and assessment activities within teams and identify corrective measures to be implemented in accordance with the risk management guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required: High school diploma; Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certification

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or related field

Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using instrument calibration and diagnostic tools.

Attention to detail and precision in instrument calibration.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Required: Total of 3-5 years of experience in the Relevant Industry, out of which 2-3 years at an Assistant Technician level

Preferred: Prior experience in a similar or relevant industry of operations

Required: English - Proficient

Preferred: Arabic – Working Knowledge
