Digital Power Automation Senior Engineer

Job Description:Focusing on the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems such as Scada / PLC/ PME systems/EcoSUI/EPAS GTW/C264/Different system Architectures – PRP, RSTPCustomer facing position and work well in a team environment. Will interface directly with contractors and end-usersSoftware installation and start-up services, troubleshooting equipment and device communications, and providing customer training for the commissioned system.Consulting with customers to determine system operation requirementsSpecifying and purchasing of hardware/software as required by the projectInstallation and upgrading of Schneider systems (PSE, PSO, IONe & PME, EPAS)Good understanding of industry standard communication protocols with an emphasis on Modbus, IEC 61850, and BACnetKnowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardwareHMI configuration experience, including graphical screen developmentDirect experience with Schneider Electric proprietary software such as Power Monitoring Expert, Power SCADA Expert and WonderwareConfiguring and commissioning Schneider Electric and 3rd party hardwarePerforming start-up services and system troubleshootingProviding training for commissioned systemsDocumenting the as-built systemTravel up to 75% to customer sites is required.Experience working around electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on control systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.Minimum of >5 years of experience related to Electrical Power Monitoring Systems; Systems Integration, and/or Energy Management Systems (design, implementation, and support. )Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packagesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a group setting, team-oriented, self-motivated, and results-drivenFamiliarity with communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, DNP3, OPC, etc.).Experience with PLCs, RTUs, and other automation systems (Control Expert) with an understanding of control systems and automation hardware (e.g., PLCs, sensors, relays, etc.).Experience in EPAS design, configuration, and Testing & Commissioning phasesFamiliarity with SQL and database management systems.Strong understanding of industrial and or building automation processes.Strong understanding of network architecture and system integration with knowledge of networking and cybersecurity principles for control systems.Taken large and medium complex project in operation in IEC 61850About Our Company:Looking to make an IMPACT with your career?When you are thinking about joining a new team, culture matters.
