Job description:

JOB PURPOSE

To design and implement IP/MPLS core, aggregation, and edge networks supporting customer portfolio. The role covers project implementation follow-up, milestone management, acceptance process, and technical coordination to ensure high network availability and compliance with Military/ITU standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop detailed IP/MPLS network design documents (HLD/LLD) covering PE, P, and CE nodes.
  • Define routing, QoS, and traffic engineering policies to meet SLA objectives.
  • Plan and track project milestones, ensuring timely implementation and progress reporting.
  • Prepare and enforce acceptance criteria including routing convergence, redundancy, and throughput validation.
  • Coordinate with transport and field teams during installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Develop configuration templates, MOPs, rollback, and cutover plans.
  • Conduct FAT, SAT, and post-deployment acceptance with stakeholder approvals.
  • Maintain project documentation, as-built records, and change logs.
  • Perform network audits and capacity planning aligned with business growth.
  • Support automation readiness using standard configuration frameworks.
  • Collaborate with vendors, customers, and NOC for issue resolution and performance improvement.
  • Ensure all acceptance documents are approved, signed, and archived.
  • Conduct technical sessions and knowledge transfers for Customers engineers

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or Computer Engineering.
  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE, HUAEI HCIP, Nokia NRS-II, or Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE.
  • PMP or project implementation certification preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IP/MPLS core and edge network design, deployment, and support.
  • Experience in routing, QoS, MPLS-TE, and Segment Routing.
  • Proven track record in multi-vendor core network implementation.

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, and EVPN.
  • Experience with QoS, Multicast, and network resiliency design.
  • Skilled in project tracking and acceptance documentation.
  • Familiar with automation tools (Ansible, Python, NETCONF).
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Arabic Native speaker and English (written and spoken)
