Position Overview

We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Electrical Engineer to join the client-side project delivery team for major industrial infrastructure developments in Saudi Arabia. This is an on-site, construction-focused leadership role, overseeing the full life cycle of electrical works from design validation through to commissioning and final handover. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with the practical, hands-on experience required to manage contractors in a live construction environment — ensuring BMS systems, LV networks, MV power distribution, and energization activities are executed to the highest standards, on accelerated project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Site Management

• Act as the client's on-site electrical lead, present on the construction site daily to monitor, direct, and coordinate all electrical work.

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of LV, MV, and BMS systems to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.

• Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings with a focus on constructability, safety, and sequencing.

• Ensure safe and efficient energization of systems, working closely with safety and commissioning teams.

• Lead site inspections, issue non-conformance reports, and drive corrective actions to completion.

Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Work directly with EPC and subcontractor teams to resolve design and construction challenges in real time.

• Chair and contribute to technical, construction, and coordination meetings with contractors and consultants.

• Ensure all parties adhere to project schedules, with rapid escalation and mitigation of potential delays.

• Maintain strong relationships with project controls, planning, and procurement teams to align delivery milestones.

Technical Oversight & Compliance

• Validate technical designs against site conditions and industrial operational requirements.

• Ensure all works meet Saudi standards, NEC/IEC codes, and relevant project specifications.

• Manage testing & commissioning documentation, O&M manuals, and as-built records for handover.

• Ensure smooth transition from construction to operations, with zero-defect handovers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Master's degree preferred).

• 10+ years' experience delivering large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, including minimum 5 years in Saudi Arabia or GCC.

• Demonstrated hands-on construction experience with proven capability to lead electrical works on site.

• Expert knowledge of BMS systems, LV distribution, MV networks, and electrical infrastructure.

• Strong track record in fast-track project delivery, including testing, commissioning, and energization.

• Proven experience working for or alongside EPC contractors to achieve challenging deadlines.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of Saudi building codes, safety regulations, and utility authority processes.

Preferred Attributes

• Chartered or Professional Engineer status (e.g., CEng, PE).

• Prior experience on Saudi giga-projects or large-scale industrial developments.

• Skilled in troubleshooting under pressure and implementing innovative construction solutions.

• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills an advantage.
