Job Overview "Purpose and Scope"

The Finance Controller is a mid-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. The finance controller will supervise the accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the company's goals.

Responsibilities & Duties

Financial Supervision:


• Supervise the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), and Collections departments.


• Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.


• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.


• Analyze and report on budget vs. actual performance.


• Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and support.


• Manage changes to the trial balance.


• Prepare ad hoc financial reports as needed


• Review and summarize accountant reports.


• Prepare monthly financial ratios and turnover.

Role Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance


• CPA, CMA or equivalent certification preferred.


• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar role


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to lead and manage a team.


• Proficient in accounting software and financial modelling tool
