Accountabilities:

  • Operate and monitor substation/solar power systems to ensure continuous and optimal energy generation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HV substation and photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical panels.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to detect and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Real time monitoring of substation performance using SAS/SCADA systems, analyze data, respond to alarms, and make operational adjustments to maintain system stability.
  • Ensure all maintenance and operational activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering teams for maintenance, upgrades, and equipment replacement.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, performance data, and incident reports.
  • Prepare periodic performance and maintenance reports for management and clients.
  • Participate in commissioning and testing of new solar systems and equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-site training to junior engineers and technicians.

Education Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    power electrical
    engineering /Renewable Energy
    .

Qualification:

  • 2-5
    years of experience in solar power plant operation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, inverters, protection systems, and electrical distribution.
  • Familiarity with SAS/SCADA systems, data analysis tools, and maintenance management software.
  • Understanding of safety procedures, grounding systems, and electrical standards (IEC / NEC).
  • Solid knowledge of power systems, protection relays, and high-voltage equipment, substation components such as Current Transformers (CT), Voltage Transformers (VT), Circuit Breakers (CBs), transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and Bus bar.
