First Nations Engagement Advisor

About You

You build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and are passionate about connecting with the First Nations communities and in culturally sensitive service delivery and workforce initiatives

You have: 

• Demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities and organisations.
• An existing network of First Nations connections to build upon.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, cultural safety and community engagement principles.
• Experience coordinating RAP initiatives or similar strategic programs.
• A willingness to undertake business development activities to support growth and enhancement of Maxima’s First Nations programs and services.
• Strong cultural awareness, professionalism and integrity.
• Strong communication, facilitation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating committees, projects or governance processes.
• High level organisational and administrative skills.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• A current National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance).
• A current Working with Children Check.

• Self-sufficient but enjoys working in a team
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic
• Detail conscious with effective planning and prioritisation skills
• Ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups
