Inkjet Printer Technician – Industrial

Job Summary We are looking for an Inkjet Printer Technician to provide technical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support for commercial and industrial inkjet printing systems used for self-adhesive labels, barcodes, product identification, coding, and variable data printing. The role will be responsible for ensuring printers operate reliably at customer sites and supporting customers with technical issues and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and commission commercial and industrial inkjet printing systems at customer sites.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, software, and printing-related issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on inkjet printers and associated printing equipment.
- Troubleshoot print-quality issues including missing dots, poor registration, banding, smudging, inconsistent density, and alignment problems.
- Configure and maintain print heads, ink delivery systems, pumps, filters, sensors, and other printer components.
- Calibrate printers and optimize print quality according to substrate, ink, speed, and application requirements.
- Troubleshoot printing applications for self-adhesive labels, barcode printing, variable data, product coding, and commercial print applications.
- Configure printer software, RIP/workflow systems, communication interfaces, and print jobs where applicable.
- Diagnose connectivity and communication issues between printers, computers, production equipment, and network systems.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and recommend replacement of consumables and critical spare parts.
- Attend customer service calls, identify technical problems, and provide timely resolution.
- Prepare service reports documenting faults, root causes, corrective actions, parts used, and recommendations.
- Train customers and operators on basic printer operation, maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager and other technical teams for complex technical issues and escalations.
- Maintain proper records of installed equipment, service history, spare parts, and customer complaints.
- Support equipment demonstrations, trials, installations, and customer evaluations when required. Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial, industrial, digital, or inkjet printing equipment. Pay: ﷼3,000.00
