Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join a long-term project in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in database engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Database and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate will be responsible for supporting, managing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise database environments and cloud-based database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, manage, and maintain database environments.
- Administer and support Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
- Work with GCP cloud environments and cloud-based database solutions.
- Monitor database performance and perform optimization and tuning.
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Support database migration and integration activities.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams.
- Ensure database security, availability, and performance standards are maintained.
- Prepare technical documentation and support ongoing project requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of professional experience in Database Engineering or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database.
- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale database environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Saudi Nationality is required. Preferred Experience
- Experience with cloud database migration and implementation.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of database security and high-availability environments.
