Job Summary:
Corso Ceram Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Ceramic Kiln Production Superintendent to lead high-temperature kiln operations, oversee shift operators, manage thermal firing schedules, and ensure maximum thermal efficiency and product yield in ceramic manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily continuous tunnel and shuttle kiln operations, monitoring firing curves, temperature profiles, atmospheric pressures, and cycle times.
- Lead kiln operators and burners in loading, firing, unloading, and inspecting ceramic products to prevent thermal shock, warping, glaze defects, or structural cracking.
- Analyze heat distribution, gas/burner ratios, and fuel consumption to optimize energy efficiency and thermal output across firing cycles.
- Direct routine kiln maintenance, including refractory lining inspections, burner head cleaning, thermocouple calibrations, and car transport system checks.
- Troubleshoot firing anomalies, temperature spikes, or mechanical conveyor jams promptly to minimize production downtime and product loss.
- Enforce strict high-temperature industrial safety standards, thermal hazard protocols, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE compliance. Key
Requirements:
-
Education:
Degree or Diploma in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Operations, or related field.
