Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented 4D/5D Modeller to support digital construction planning, project controls integration, and BIM-based cost and schedule management activities for a major Airport, Infrastructure, and Airfield Development Project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing 4D (Time-Based BIM) and 5D (Cost-Integrated BIM) models to support construction sequencing, progress monitoring, quantity validation, cost forecasting, and project decision-making.

The 4D/5D Modeller will work closely with Construction Management, Project Controls, BIM, Engineering, Commercial, Planning, and Contractor teams to ensure that digital models accurately represent construction progress, schedule activities, and cost information across complex airport assets including passenger terminals, runways, taxiways, cargo aprons, aircraft stands, external infrastructure, utilities, and airport facilities.

The role requires strong experience in BIM technologies, construction planning, cost integration, and digital delivery within major infrastructure or airport projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage 4D BIM models integrating 3D models with project schedules.
  • Link BIM elements with construction activities, milestones, and work packages.
  • Support visualization of construction sequences for:
    • Passenger terminals.
    • Runways and taxiways.
    • Cargo facilities.
    • Aircraft aprons and stands.
    • External infrastructure.
    • Utilities and airport systems.
  • Identify construction sequencing conflicts, access constraints, and potential delivery risks.
  • Support optimization of construction methodologies and project execution strategies.
  • Develop and maintain 5D BIM models integrating cost information with project models.
  • Support quantity extraction, measurement validation, and cost analysis.
  • Link model elements with:
    • Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
    • Cost codes.
    • Work breakdown structures (WBS).
    • Cost control systems.
  • Support cost forecasting, budget monitoring, and change assessment.
  • Identify discrepancies between design quantities, construction quantities, and commercial data.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Project Controls teams to integrate BIM models with project schedules.
  • Support progress measurement through model-based tracking.
  • Develop digital dashboards and visual reporting tools to communicate project status.
  • Assist in analyzing schedule impacts through 4D simulation.
  • Support earned value management activities using BIM-based progress information.
  • Develop and manage digital construction models for complex airport infrastructure including:
    • Terminal buildings.
    • Airside facilities.
    • Runways.
    • Taxiways.
    • Cargo aprons.
    • Roads and external works.
    • Utility networks.
    • MEP systems.
    • ICT and specialist airport systems.
  • Ensure models accurately reflect construction requirements and project execution strategies.
  • Support coordination between design, construction, and operational teams.
  • Review BIM models from consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
  • Ensure model information complies with project BIM standards and requirements.
  • Perform model health checks, data validation, and quality reviews.
  • Ensure correct model structure, naming conventions, coordinates, and information requirements.
  • Support Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows and information exchange processes.
  • Support site teams by developing visual progress simulations and construction status models.
  • Compare planned versus actual construction progress using BIM models.
  • Identify delays, constraints, and potential impacts on project milestones.
  • Prepare visual reports for project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support recovery planning through digital construction simulations.
