Aldenham Prep Riyadh is part of the Aldenham Education Group and is integrated very closely with Aldenham School in the UK, which was founded in 1597. It opened to its first students in September 2022 and, due to continued growth, there is an outstanding opportunity for an Art Specialist Teacher (Year 5 - Year 7) to join a talented and dedicated team in August 2024.

Suitably qualified and experienced candidates may have the chance subsequently to undertake a leadership or management role, and grow with the group as it expands its network of schools.

Specialist Teachers will deliver their subject to their classes, and will work closely with colleagues ensuring a collaborative approach to teaching and learning across the Year Groups. The children therefore receive the same opportunities, and all teachers feel supported by a strong team.

Each class receives support from a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

Teaching and Learning:

You will be expected to:

deliver our broad and balanced curriculumdeliver well-planned, engaging and creative lessons, ensuring that the needs of all children are metfacilitate and encourage high quality learning which provides children with the opportunity to achieve their full potentialuse technology to enhance teaching and support learningdifferentiate appropriately, using approaches that enable every student to access all areas of the curriculum and make excellent progressdemonstrate excellent subject knowledge relevant to the age groupset students challenging developmental goals and draw upon varied strategies, resources and technologies in order to support students in achieving these goalsmake effective use of Teaching Support Assistants to support children in classfollow the Aldenham procedures for assessing, recording and reporting on children's achievements and to use this information effectively to influence future learning and convey progress in report writingprovide students with regular written and oral feedback and encourage them to reflect and respond to their feedbackparticipate fully in co-curricular and activity programmes

Person Specification:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

relevant Bachelor's Degree, ideally gained at a UK UniversityUK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Statusminimum of two years' relevant teaching experience, ideallyexcellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum of Englanda strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider communitya commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of studentsknowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice


Desirable skills and experience: 

an understanding of the demands of a UK independent school environmentexperience working with children who have English as an Additional Languagea secure knowledge of using technology to support education
