Job SummaryLogistics Services lead is a key position to supervise generally dual expectations, initially from fulfilling upstream operations requirements to downstream as towards customer expectations. The main roles of this position are to lead the Logistics & supply chains contractors to manage over 700K pieces of residential furniture in excess of$ 70M, with over 3K tasks/ month, deliver/ track over 2K mails & couriers shipments/ months, and ensure smooth transitions on relocating Personal belongings of around 500 employees/ year through personal effects and custom clearance services.The logistics services lead will be also responsible to monitor and control the HSE requirements of two excessive Warehouse with an average areas of over 4K square meters, and provide leadership to the Warehouse team while maintaining the cost of operations low. The role, should also manage all  non-chemical assets in terms of asset registry management, issuance, receiving of assets, conducting inspections, SAP system and other related functions to support finance FAM asset control.The lead will supervise the Inbound/Outbound business of non-research purchase orders through Distribution Center (KOC), and provide leadership to our warehouse team while maintaining the cost of operations low. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for managing the operations of seven contracts in excess of USO 30MM, and involved heavily in huge number of financial transactions, negotiations , procurement, approving payments ( contracts payments and separate invoices) and approving highly value shopping carts.They will
  • Develop and implement work scope of services including materials management, mail & courier, personal effects shipping and furniture reconditioning and other services to support Community life operations;
  • Establish and update guidelines and work procedures of all logistics services activities as reference for operational compliance;
  • Ensure compliance of service provider and operated facilities to  HSE safety standards and Security policies and procedures;
  • Supervise service providers performance compared to set KPl's and SLA's to reflect actual on monthly performance;
  • Hold regular meetings with service providers to review performance and resolve issues to ensure excellent services;
  • Prepares operational expenditure plan and monitors actual spending of allocated budget in line with financial responsibility;
  • Promote sharing of best practices and collaboration with partners within Community services and end-users to achieve customer satisfaction while optimizing cost;
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols;
  • Compare costs for goods and services to maximize overall cost-effectiveness of the operations;
  • Generate and present regular reports and reviews of logistics services-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases;
  • check completed work by contractors and certify payments match contract pricing;
  • Motivates staff and identify training needs to develop skills and job knowledge;
  • Perform related duties in support of community services and the university
Skills Required
  • Communication and presentation skills: Written and spoken English is essential;
  • Analytical skills/ Problem solving skills and techniques with the capacity to understand risks and business requirements to translate into practical solutions;
  • IT Proficiency: ( e.g. MS Office, SAP) and internet use.
  • Customer focused, Critical thinking capability
  • Interpersonal/Group Skills: Strong interpersonal and social skills, with focus on customer service;
  • Ownership/Accountability/Dependability: Sense of accuracy and the ability to determine actions to get the job done;
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP system or comparable electronic grants management system.

  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated capability in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access and PowerPoint), including preparation of charts and data displays.
  • Capacity to work productively and contribute in a team structure, and with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills in English: listening, speaking and writing; including preparation of written reports and giving oral presentations.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and resolve any conflicts in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Eagerness to learn, willingness to adapt to change, commitment to high quality standards, and an interest in OSR s mission and vision.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in logistics operations / functional capacity.
  • Experience with SAP Material Management Technical and Application Support is a must
QualificationsBachelor Degree in Computer science , Supply Chain or business administration or equivalent.
