Summary of the job:

To maximize company product value through high scientificquality communication with Leading Specialists on a peertopeerbasis. Through activities in line with the Medical Affairs Plan theMSL is jointly responsible for the realization of shortterm andlongterm company goals.

To be a therapeuticarea scientific expert responsible for discussing our productspatients treatment trends and studies in the therapeutic areas inwhich we are involved on a peertopeer basis with defined audienceof Leading Specialists (Physicians Pharmacists Hospital ManagersBoard Members of Scientific Societies and other partners) and to beconsidered a trusted scientific counterpart.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To keep abreast of the medical andscientific knowledge
  • Continuouslyupdate their knowledge of products patients treatment trends andclinical activities and studies conducted within the therapeuticarea in their region
  • Development andmaintenance of a contact network with Leading Specialists
  • Understands their needs key value driverspractical treatment patterns and scientific activities withintherapeutic area
  • Communicates value ofcompany products incl. formulary discussions
  • Through scientific interactions champions medicalbenefits of products and contribute to foster innovative approaches
  • Represents the company within therapeuticarea professional associations in cooperation with Medical Advisor/Medical Director
  • Proactive and reactivecommunication of medical scientific data to Leading Specialists andbroader external healthcare related audiences
  • Communicates directly and proactively scientificinformation of our products within the approved label
  • Communicates nonpromotional general information about ourcompany including description of research and development programs.
  • Responds to unsolicited scientific queries ofcustomers for approved products and products/indications indevelopment based on Medical Affairs and Medical Informationdocuments
  • Organization and participation inMedical Education activities
  • Identify/support/educate speakers
  • Build Medical Education programs with scientific thirdparty
  • Organization and participation inAdvisory Boards in cooperation with Medical Advisor/MedicalDirector
  • Provision of scientific support tocompany Sales Representatives
  • Providesmedical and product training and scientific support to SalesRepresentatives in coordination with Training Department asappropriate.
  • Acts as a reference point toSales Representatives for any scientific query in collaborationwith Medical Information as appropriate
  • Support Medical Affairs study execution
  • Supports the set up and follow up of registries and othernoninterventional Medical Affairs studies
  • Proposes investigators and sites for interventional andnoninterventional Medical Affairs studies
  • Participates in investigator meetings preparationrecruitment followup and study result presentation
  • Receives investigator proposals for IIS and to ensurethey are discussed within the Medical Affairs department fordecision
  • Through scientific interactions gainvaluable insight into treatment patterns and scientific activitiesin the therapeutic area and provide input to the company MedicalAffairs Plan / business decisionmaking
Qualifications

Qualification & Experience

  • Scientific degree:Medical Doctor degree in pharmacy
  • Deepknowledge of the therapeutic area strength in research andinterpretation of medical data
  • Experience inRare Diseases is an advantage
  • Relevant workexperience scientific acumen and communication skills in order tobe accepted by Leading Specialists in peertopeer relationship
  • Highly customer focused with an awareness ofthe importance of business results
  • Innovativewith the ability to coordinate and drive a complex and changingenvironment
  • Awareness of and adherence toJohnson & Johnson Credo values and International HealthCare Business Integrity Guide
