Job Description


What you will bedoing:

Reporting

1.1.1 Assist Director of Finance with in the preparation of allreporting requirements regardless of reporting frequency includingdaily weekly monthly quarterly annual and adhoc.

1.1.2Ensure information presented in all reports isaccurate and reflective of actual business transactions.

1.1.3Ensure all reports are prepared on a timely basismeeting all deadlines set by Statutory Bodies Owning Company andBrand Manager.

Controls

1.1.4Conduct surprise spotchecks on General Cashiers float on aperiodic basis.

1.1.5Conduct surprisespotchecks on all Outlet Cashiers float on a periodic basis inaddition to spotcheck performed by the General Cashier.

1.1.6Conduct surprise stockcount inspection in additionto/ during the monthend stockcount conducted by the CostControllers office.

Audit Taxation andStatutory Bodies (where applicable)

1.1.7Assistin the preparation of all groundwork required for all statutoryaudit and tax requirements.

1.1.8Provideassistance during the audit (internal and external) reviewprocess.

1.1.9Administer all tax filing andgovernment reporting procedures to ensure accurate timelyinformation is provided in compliance with laws andregulations.

Budget &Forecast

1.1.10Assist the Financial Controllerin the preparation of the annual budgets and monthly forecasts asrequired.

Sectional Duties

1.1.11Supervises Revenue Audit section:

1.1.12Ensures all revenue and receipt transactions are properlyaccounted for and deposited into banks.

1.1.13Reviews summaries reports and journals prepared by RevenueAuditor and Night Auditor.

1.1.14Checks DailyHotel Revenue Report.

1.1.15Supervises AccountsPayable section:

1.1.16Oversees timelyarrangements of payments by cheques bank auto pays &remittances.

1.1.17Ensures payments areproperly supported & authorized.

1.1.18Reviews cheque register vendor listing creditors log andreports.

1.1.19Supervises Payrollsection:

1.1.20Checks if monthly payroll isproperly supported authorized and reconciled.

1.1.21Ensures personnel data are correctly recorded in payrollrecord.

1.1.22Oversees the submissions ofemployers tax returns required by statutes.

1.1.23Reviews schedules of lease and sublease agreements.

1.1.24Monitoring the billing of lease charges andcollection of subrentals.

1.1.25Reports andfollows up discrepancies and irregularities.

1.1.26Reviews monthly capital expenditure reports.

1.1.27Reports to DOF on any deviations frompolicies.

1.1.28Ensures capital expenditurereports completed in accordance with set schedule.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 34 years experience in 5* hotel orsimilar.
  • Bachelors in Finance Degree orhigher Finance certifications will be a plus.
  • Experience in the GCC and/or Middle East Region is aplus.
  • Excellent communication skills bothwritten and verbal required.
  • Knowledge andexperience in IFRS is an advantgae
