Head Of NDT

Wereseeking to hire a seasoned competent Head ofNDT for a Regional Construction Consultancy Servicesoperating throughout the Middle East Africa and Southeast Asia inJeddah or Riyadh.

The ideal candidate shall beresponsible for leading a team of NDT professionals establishingand implementing NDT procedures and standards ensuring compliancewith industry regulations and safety protocols coordinating NDTprojects and managing the NDTbudget.

Head ofNDT Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate extensiveknowledge of international governingstandards/codes.
• Ensure NonDestructive Testing(NDT) inspection systems meet standardrequirements.
• Ensure NDT inspections accordingto customer demands adhering to highquality and integritystandards.
• Maintain awareness of technologiesrelevant to the business and theirimpact.
• Develop technical capabilitiesconsistent with market trends aligning with the companys BusinessPlan.
• Support business development activitiesincluding customer visits bids anddemonstrations.

• Conduct trainingfor NDT staff to keep their knowledge uptodate including onthejobtraining programs.
• Organize exam schedules andother activities.
• Conduct exams for Level I andLevel II Inspectors.
• Mentor and develop TraineeLevel 1 Level 2 and Level 3 technicians in line with businessneeds.
• Monitor staff surveillance forrecertification.
• Monitor annual visionrequirements for certification.
• Prepare andconduct technical training sessions andseminars.
• Support NDT operations promptly tofulfill contractual obligations.
• Providehandson support to the operations teams as required includingduring highdemand periods.
• Supervise Inspectionoperations.
• Write Inspection Procedures NDTProcedures WPS and PQR.
• Provide technicalexpertise for the approval of inspection procedures in NDTmethods.
• Interpret codes standardsspecifications and procedures.
• Interpretcustomer specifications and prepare instruction sheets for NDTInspectors to carry out inspections in compliance with theirspecifications and referenced codes.
• Review RTfilms/reports.
• Conduct site visits for NDTsupervision.
• Witness NDT activities at variousstages of jobs.
• Review NDT procedures ofvendors and approve them.
• Review subcontractorsInspector CVs certificates and conduct interviews to assess theircompetency.
• Review NDT reports and signoff.
• Prepare and review technical reports withanalyses and interpretations.
• Monitor/controlwelding consumables.
• Conduct risk assessmentson various processes equipment andsubstances.
• Perform internal technicalaudits.
• Support/attend external accreditationand customer audits as necessary.
• Coordinatewith clients to solve technicalinquiries.
• Maintain the quality managementsystem.
• Liaise with the EHS&Q functionon all matters relating to quality.
• Provideinput through the EHS&Q function on all Quality SystemsaffectingNDT.

Head ofNDT Skills andQualifications:

• Bachelorof Engineering (BE) in Engineering with a minimum of five years ofexperience in a related field; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.
• Valid ASNT Level IIICertification in selected nondestructivetestingmethods.
• Ability to read analyze and interpretgeneral business periodicals professional journals technicalprocedures or governmental regulations.
• Abilityto write reports business correspondence and proceduremanuals.
• Ability to effectively presentinformation and respond to questions from groups of managersclients customers and the generalpublic.
• Ability to work with mathematicalconcepts such as probability statistical inference plane and solidgeometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to applyconcepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions topractical situations.
• Ability to solvepractical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables insituations where only limited standardizationexists.
• Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written oral diagram or scheduleform.
• Ability to make technical analyses andfind appropriate solutions.
• Ability to writetechnical and inspection reports.
• Ability towrite routine reports andcorrespondences
