JobOverview:

We are in search of an experiencedBlasting & Painting Supervisor to oversee and manage allactivities related to blasting and painting operations within theshipbuilding organization. The candidate will play a crucial rolein ensuring that all blasting and painting processes meet thehighest industry standards and regulatoryrequirements.

Responsibilites

• Directand oversee all blasting and painting activities ensuringcompliance with project specifications safety regulations andquality standards.
• Utilize your certificationas an assessor or readiness to obtain one to assess and certifyblasting and painting processes and personnel as per organizationaland regulatory requirements.
• Leverage yourexperience working at prominent shipbuilding organizations tointroduce and implement best practices in blasting and paintingoperations. Share knowledge and insights to enhance efficiencyquality and safety.
• Ensure that all blastingand painting activities adhere to top classification societystandards and requirements such as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINA etc.Maintain accurate documentation to demonstratecompliance.
• Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams including engineering procurement quality assurance andproject management to ensure seamless coordination and execution ofblasting and painting activities.
• Effectivelymanage resources including manpower materials and equipment tooptimize blasting and painting processes and meet projectdeadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelorsdegree in Engineering or a related field preferred with additionalcertifications or training in blasting and painting techniquesbeing advantageous.
• Proficient Englishcommunication skills with a minimum IELTS band score of 7 orequivalent essential for mentoring trainees and documenting theirprogress.
• Documented history of being acertified assessor or eligibility to become one demonstrating theability to assess and certify blasting and painting processes andpersonnel.
• Proven track record of working atprominent shipbuildingorganizations withsignificant experience in blasting and painting operations. Bringalong best practices and behaviors to enhanceoperations.
• Demonstrated experience working onprojects adhering to top classification societystandards/requirements such as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINAetc.
• Strong leadership abilities with thecapacity to lead and motivate teams toward achieving common goals.Ability to mentor and develop juniorstaff.
