JobSummary:
the ClinicalQuality Coordinator (CQC) is responsible for the organization ofservices and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approachto the care of the cardiac patient population in support of theChest Pain Accreditation program, as well as process improvementmeasures related to the National Cardiovascular Data Registry(NCDR) ;The CQC collaborates with the Directors of nursing incarrying out the educational, clinical, research, administrative,and outreach activities of the associated cardiac

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Leadsthe ongoing maintenance of the Chest Pain Accreditation Program,and CATH-PCI and Chest Pain-MI NCDR ;
  • Ensureshospital is in compliance of REMSA STEMI Program
  • Activelyreviews data related to cardiac programs and works with DCQI todevelop process improvement
  • Informsadministrators, medical directors and hospital department leadersregarding any regulatory changes or data
  • Demonstratesability to problem solve and be supportive of innovation andcreativity of others related to changes in
  • Possesseshuman relations skills with an ability to handledifficult/sensitive issues with regard to associate and patient
  • Excellentwritten/oral communication skills, including group dynamics andconflict
  • Demonstrateleadership in identifying opportunities for improvement in all workprocesses both clinical and non-clinical with the disease specific
  • Providesessential leadership and coordination of services related to theidentified disease specific
  • Leads andparticipates in data collection, health outcomes reporting,clinical audits, and evaluations related to ensure the objectivesof the program are being
  • Participationin Disease Specific Care committee meetings is mandatory to ensurethe program goals are met in a timely

  • Initiateand participate in an annual document review to ensure thestandardization of disease specific care based upon current andaccepted Clinical Practice Guidelines, according to therequirements as outline by the accrediting
  • Facilitateeducation to medical center staff regarding new procedures and ortechniques that physicians perform, ensuring that the staff wouldbe better able to articulate to patients about the care they may
  • Collaboratewith leadership to produce marketing items, patient testimonialsand website enhancements relevant to the disease specific
  • Participatein marketing and community events that promote the disease-specific
  • Facilitatecontinuing education for nursing staff who provide care to theprogram s target ( annual symposiums and/orsummits).
