We are seeking an experiencedand highly qualified event planner public affairs or publicrelations professional ( Public Relations Specialist ) tocoordinate organize and provide logistics support to the Board andBoard Committee meetings of the Board of Directors. This role willsit within the
CorporateSecretariat function in the Law Organization. Headquartered inDhahran Saudi Arabia the successful candidate will join thecompanys Secretariat & Governance Legal Practice within theLaw Organization s Corporate Secretariat function. In this role thePublic Relations Specialist will support the Corporate Secretaryand Assistant Corporate Secretary in organizing and managinglogistics support for board and board committee meetings (includingsite location planning itinerary development and coordinationtravel entertainment catering and other associated activities) aswell as handling a broad spectrum of related matters that confronta global energy company. The companys Law Organization is growingin response to a broad corporate initiative that involves thecontinued growth of its exploration production refining andmarketing along with expansion into petrochemicals renewables powerand other sectors of the energy business.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Workingwith senior executives to develop meeting itineraries finalizedetailed planning and coordinate other decisionsnecessary for private topquality professional corporateevents;
  • Liaising with business teamsgovernment offices and vendors around the globe to providelogistics support for board and board committeemeetings;
  • Organizing presenters andwritten materials to facilitate a seamless presentation ofinformation to the boarddirectors;
  • Coordinating with IT andmanaging technology interfaces for senior management and boarddirectors including but not limited to an online board portalsoftware tool;
  • Provide othernecessary board support as may be required;and
  • Perform other duties as assignedby the supervisingattorneys.

Requirements
  • Holda Bachelor s Degree from a recognized and approved university;
  • 6 years of diversifiedexperience with a law firm large corporation or other sophisticatedbusiness organization;
  • Experiencedelivering topquality professional corporate events in a variety oflocations and sectors;
  • Experienceworking with senior management government officials and/or a boardof directors;
  • Attention to detailexcellent teamwork negotiation and communication skills;and
  • Proficiency in written andspoken communicationprinciples.
  • Energy industry (oil andgas petrochemical power or oil field services) public company andinternational experience are aplus.

Asuccessful candidate should hold a Bachelor s degree from arecognized and approved program in the fields of journalism,communications or related field with equivalent experience. Anadvanced degree is preferred. Candidate should have a minimum of 3years experience in journalism, media relations or corporatecommunications, gained in either an agency or in-house corporatesetting ideally with previous experience of the energy, oil and gassectors. Candidate should have previous experience as spokespersonis preferred, while a proven track record in crisis communicationsis also an advantage. Candidate should have strong networkingskills are essential and the role requires a strong understandingand experience of working in the media or public relations field.Candidate should be able to develop and maintain networks, performwell under pressure and handle a variety of requests. Candidateshould be fixable and have good organizational skills. Candidatesshould also be detail-oriented, with a strong sense ofresponsibility and accountability. Candidate should have stronginterpersonal skills. Candidate should also be trustworthy,displaying responsibility and care when handling confidential orsensitive topics.
