What youll bedoing

As an experienced PeoplePartner you will be responsible for helping attract develop andsupport an exceptional group of people. You will be working closelywith the brand/functional management team to provide: operationalHR support strategic advice guidance and best practice solutions.You will do so in line with Group HR policies and principles whilstalso creating bespoke initiatives to enhance the employeeexperience and support the achievement of business strategies andculture change.


This is a role that combines operational and strategicresponsibilities requiring a solid HR background in addition tosound commercial exposure and mindset to successfully partner withand influence all areas of the business.


KeyResponsibilities
  • Definedevelop and implement our people vision to support our ambitiousbusiness strategy
  • Review the brand/functionsoperating model and workforce planning approaches to ensure optimalorganizational structures are in place to support future focusgrowth scalability and employee satisfaction
  • Work with the team to consider competitor and industryapproaches and translate these insights into roadmaps that definethe employee experience reveal gaps and pain points and identifykey opportunities for business enhancements andinnovation
  • Provide guidance andrecommendations on the most complex issues supporting our team inall related people areas including: recruitment performancemanagement succession planning retention talent developmentcompensation and rewards employee relations and employeeengagement
  • Provide clear and inspirationalleadership to motivate and develop the team to deliver high qualitycustomercentered services
  • Be an active andeffective member of the Leadership Team ensuring the highvisibility focus and delivery of the People and Culturestrategy
  • Act as a change agent by looking fornew ways to improve the employee experience and define ourbrand/function employee value proposition
  • Leadthe development of initiatives in line with LocalizationStrategy
  • Continually assess our existingpolicies procedures and programs and put forward recommendations toimprove efficiencies and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead the ongoing design and execution of brand/functionspecific employee onboarding training and development programs toimprove the depth and breadth of the teams skills set and to raiseawareness around behavioral technical and leadershipcompetencies
  • Work with the Groups TalentAcquisition team to ensure internal and external recruitingstrategies result in relevant high caliber candidates beingidentified
  • Work closely with Group HR toimplement the annual performance management cycle and act as achange agent within the brand/function to support the introductionof new approaches and performance platform
  • Continually review and monitor the effectiveness ofemployee commission schemes and put forward recommendations forchange
  • Identify our HiPOs through employeeprofiling; educate teams around career paths and support allsuccession planning and talent development activities
  • Encourage a growth mindset amongst team members bycollaborating with our Learning team to assess training needs sorelevant and inspiring training and development programmes areavailable and monitor the brand/functions training budget andindividuals learning consumption
  • Use allavailable HR data to ensure HR analytics supports all reportingaction planning and decision making and put forward recommendationfor change
  • Act as a coach and mentor to ourpeople and provide advice and guidance to our leadership team usingHR data analytics external benchmarks and best practice approachesto support decision making
  • As part of ourcultural transformation provide advice and guidance to leaders andmanagers around how to act as role models to create a positive andinspiring team climate
  • Champion both Group andbrand/function specific Diversity and Inclusion initiatives with akey focus on culture change nationalization and employeewellbeing
  • Collaborate with the Groups PeopleExperience team to design employee engagement surveys and beaccountable for the necessary action planning and improvementgoals
  • Develop key performance indicators tohelp identify progress and improvements made on employee engagementand ensure continual improvement
  • Manage allpeople and process related employee communications using MyChalhoub and other inspirational approaches to embed keymessages.
  • Lead/Support annual manpowerplanning with Brand/Function Leaders and ensure vacancies aremanaged in line with the approved budget and executed as per thecorrect recruitment process
  • Assess currentroles and provide recommendations for new roles in coordinationwith Business Head and Vertical Head of People
  • Participate in the recruitment process through assessmentcenters or competencybased interviews
  • Reviewall proposed internal transfers within the vertical and providerecommendations
  • Ensure all escalated employeesgrievances are closed

What youll need to succeed

  • Excellent knowledge of HR best practices and industrystandards
  • Proven experience of acting aschange agent to bring about change
  • Able toinfluence without authority and to be regarded as a credibletrusted advisor to the business
  • Employeecentric with the ability to build trust and act as a coach andmentor for employees
  • Selfaware with theappropriate leadership skills to inspire manage and develop highperforming teams
  • Comfortable with healthychallenge and able to operate at a strategic level
  • Experience of working in a fastpace matrixedenvironments
  • Commercially minded with theability to manage budgets and interpret complex data &analytics to support decision making
  • Resilientand able to effectively balance multiple priorities in line withdeadlines
  • Exceptional communicationrelationshipbuilding and project management skills
  • Future focused with the ability to use creative andinspiring approaches to enhance employee experience programsconcepts and techniques
