Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Inspector to join ourGlobal Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). GMSD is amultidisciplinary organization with interface to technical and insome cases business support requirements of Global ManufacturingAdmin Area and This Company Affiliates. Its function caters mainlyto the technical needs of Global Manufacturing operating facilitiesmanagement and drives the performances of operating facilities inexecuting corporate programs and initiatives towards operationalexcellence and value creation. Your primary role will be to providetechnical support to operating facilities projects technologydeployment and talent development of new mechanical inspectors. Youwill conduct special studies and analyses in a specialized assetintegrity field such as necessary mechanical calculations forpiping pressure vessel shell and tube heat exchangers air coolerfin fans branch reinforcement MAWP hydrotest pressure rating and/orderating fitness for service to evaluate flaws or damage pipestress analysis flange calculations perform nozzlecalculations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting field troubleshooting on a dailybasis or as required.
  • Participating in majorTurnarounds & Inspections (T&Is) and emergency plantshutdowns.
  • Developing and reviewing mechanicalinspection procedures and best practices.
  • Writing recommendations and reports related to mechanicalinspection activities.
  • Developing andreviewing pre and postT&Is reports.
  • Developing and reviewing mechanical inspectionstrategies.
  • Taking part in field mechanicalinspections quarterly schedule inspections andassessments.
  • Reviewing and proposingNonDestructive Testing (NDT) methods and inspectionprocedures.
  • Participating in RiskBasedInspection (RBI) studies.
  • Participating inHazard and Operability (HAZOP) Studies review.
  • Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) andoverseeing the implementation and performance of mechanicalinspection programs at facilities.
  • Reviewingthe performance and KPIs of mechanical inspection programs atfacilities.
  • Providing recommendations toimprove the deployment and performance of mechanical inspectionprograms.

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • A Bachelors degree inEngineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years ofexperience in the refinery and/or NGLF (Natural Gas LiquidsFractionation) industry with a specific focus on mechanicalinspection.
  • At least 10 years of fieldexperience involving major plant turnarounds field troubleshootingand inspection.
  • Possession of two of thefollowing certificates: API510 API570 or API653.
  • Indepth knowledge of best engineering practices coupledwith a strong background in industry codes andstandards.
