Supervise enhance andcoordinate Shipyard Services which include temporary lighting
air ventilation and extraction lifting systems crane andforklift operations wood carpentry as well as the management ofshipyard blocks and ship movements. Ensure the efficientutilization of internal resources in overseeing scaffolding andship cleaning.

StrategicResponsibilities

  • Alignsection goals processes and resource allocation with theorganizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercialand business objectives.
  • Ensure theaccomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;
    planning and evaluating organizational unitactivities.
  • Define objectives identifies andevaluates trends and options chooses a course of
    actionand evaluates outcomes.
  • Accomplish financialobjectives by forecasting requirements preparing an annual
    budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances andinitiating corrective actions.
  • Support withstrategic problems resolution and subjective decisionmaking.

ManagerialResponsibilities

  • Supervisethe entire work done by the team members and making sure it iscompleted on time without any delay.
  • Lead theteam to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation ofresponsibilities and supervising businessoperations.
  • Set the vision and motivation ofthe team in order to achieve the sought objectivesefficiently.
  • Set appropriate and achievabledeadlines.
  • Track and report criticalorganizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiatebusiness related issues to seniormanagement.
  • Accomplish staff results bycommunicating job expectations planning monitoring and appraisingjob results.

FunctionalResponsibilities

  • Takeon the responsibility of overseeing various temporary systemsincluding suction lighting emergency lighting power lines andtechnical gas lines both on land and on the ship in dock and on thequay.
  • Supervise the management of barges forlaunching handling and mooring including the development of plansfor boarding and handling.
  • Oversee theoperation of cranes and lifting equipment as well as the movementof sections/blocks and the transportation of materials from thewarehouse and/or workshops to thedocks.
  • Execute ship fitting plans and smallcarpentry for wooden structures while also overseeing activitiesconducted by external companies in thisarea.
  • Manage and monitor the construction ofscaffolding on land sections and on board the ship during dock andquay activities.
  • Coordinate and overseecontracted works including temporary systems and ship section orblock cleaning ensuring compliance with establishedstandards.
  • Direct marine activities alongsidesailors such as launching mooring at the dock and handlingharnesses during construction.
  • Provideassistance during sea and dock trials to ensure successfuloutcomes.
  • Manage requests for materialpurchases ensuring compliance with budgetary limits and repeateduse requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence toaccident prevention and work safety regulations within theworkshop.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning& Control and Trade Resources Management to effectivelyplan activities considering safety quality budget constraints andassignedpriorities.

Qualifications

  • BachelorsDegree in Engineering or any other similarfield.
  • Above 9 years of experience in relatedfield including 3 years in a leadershiprole.
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or anyother similar field.
