Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include:

Fire Protection Strategy and Advisory Services to Client. You will be a knowledge expert providing strategic advisory support. Provide input into Project planning and scheduling, risks and opportunities, business impact, input into Project Execution planning Create comprehensive fire protection strategies that address all aspects of a facility's fire protection needs, including planning and design, technology, and operational delivery. Develop programs covering crisis and emergency management, business continuity and related training. Work with other project disciplines to ensure Fire protection solutions are properly integrated. Lead fire protection related projects for our clients' sporting and leisure facilities, including project planning, execution, and monitoring. Communicate with clients to build strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service. Write detailed proposals that outline the scope of work, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes, and present them to our clients. Develop existing relationships with key clients and deliver fire safety engineering solutions. Lead and oversee current and future projects and enabling the project team to ensure that financial targets of the Project are met and exceeded. Maintain a high level of professional awareness of technical matters in the fire industry, assimilate and synthesize developing technical issues and provide updates and briefings as required. Provide technical solutions to clients & oversee and peer review work of the fire engineering staff. Guiding our fire engineering professionals, along with advising and delivering complex solutions to large construction engineering projects within leading consultancies. Drive behind the delivery of technical excellence, team engagement, and the go-to in developing our key clients in this discipline. Be the expert to our clients and that all important first point of call. Attend industry conferences to Network and embrace industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need:

To set you up for success in this role from day one (at a minimum) the following qualifications/experience are required:

Minimum of 15-20+ years experience and demonstrated successful history in performing technical consulting work and developing and cultivating client relationships. Typically requires Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or another technical field. Masters Degree in Fire or Emergency Management related Field would be advantagious Experience in professional service business processes. Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver sales presentations to clients. Professional Engineering License, P.Eng, Chartered Engineer or another professional designation desirable. Consultancy experience and ideally Client-side experience or Client advisory role experience an advantage Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to develop and manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Proven client-facing capabilities, with experience presenting and communicating with C-level executives.
