One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Program MRO Bases Director, with 12+ years of experience In the Ship building industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:

Job Overview

Direct and Optimize the MRO program in the shipbuilding through developing and
executing plans for Ship Repair Facility operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory
standards such as ITAR, and maintaining the Design Authority for Royal Saudi Naval
Forces (RSNF) ships. Additionally, manage customer relationships, fostering confidence
and understanding with RSNF and leveraging on advanced data analytics and project
management strategies.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Align division goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;
    planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
  • Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of
    action, and evaluates outcomes.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual
    budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
  • Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
  • Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives
    efficiently.
  • Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
  • Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and
    negotiate business related issues to senior management.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) program, defining a comprehensive roadmap for industrial-level responsibilities and the seamless integration of vessels.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans to optimize Ship Repair Facility operations,
    encompassing life cycle management, ITAR compliance, and workforce adaptation.
  • Directly oversee the tactical execution of Ship Repair Facility operations, ensuring
    alignment with industry best practices, quality standards, and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Develop and institute operational protocols, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance the effectiveness of Ship Repair Facility activities.
  • Act as the key liaison for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF), proactively managing relationships to instill confidence and understanding.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requirements promptly, and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Establish and maintain the Design Authority for RSNF ships, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and regulatory bodies to enforce design standards and specifications throughout the shipbuilding process.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics and risk management methodologies to optimize
    program performance.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with MRO operations.
  • Implement and oversee robust project management strategies, employing industry
    leading methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external partners within Industries Companys Naval Programs to ensure synchronized project execution.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other pertinent industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulations, adapting operational practices accordingly to
    sustain compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
  • Above 12 years of experience in related field including 6 years in a leadership role.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
