Advanced smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee.

The smelter is situated in the Jizan Economic City and is designed to smelt ilmenite (Titanium rich mineral sand) to produce Titania Dioxide slag and pig iron. The plant consists of two Electric Arc furnaces, each with a capacity of 250kt slag and 125kt pig iron. The slag that is produced is tapped from the furnace and processed to be used as feed stock for the titanium chlorination and sulphuric acid processes to finally produce Titanium pigment which is mainly used in paints and plastics.

An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Specialist II, Automation Based in Jizan.

About the role:

To ensure stable and reliable equipment's for the operation of the ilmenite smelter plant, ancillary equipment, and processes daily including a process control network and communication. This incumbent is further directly responsible for the upkeep and improvement of all Process control networks available in the plant. Maintain the process communication system and do require modifications in-process software.

You will be responsible to:

  • Maintain The process control system.
  • Provide support to another team during troubleshooting to Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians
  • Take and system backup at regular intervals.
  • Perform software PCS7 software updates.
  • Perform control system fir ware update.
  • Change the PLC and DCS program as per process requirement.
  • Maintain the records of all force signal.
  • Monitor the Communication network daily and take corrective action as per requirement.
  • improve and maintain cross-functional customer relationships.
  • advise and assist Superintendent E&I and Technicians on Plant improvement.
  • Maintenance of ABB drive and siemens servo Drive.
  • fulfill standby duties as per schedule.
  • Develop spare part management and inventory control.
  • Maintain the PCN servers.
  • Maintain the Automation system.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor / Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 years of experience or more in plant maintenance or Commissioning of plants, Furnace experience will be added advantage.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Full Extensive Knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 DCS.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Siemens PLC and HMI.
  • Knowledge of ABB Variable speed drive and Siemens SIMOCODE.
  • Good knowledge of Communication protocols, Profibus and TCP.
  • knowledge of IT Servers, siemens switches, and virtual machine networking.
